Recent Club Training

 

Both Phil Robinson and Neil Parsons have now achieved a significant milestone, namely their Dive Leader qualification. Many congratulations guys and thanks for your patience during the inevitable impact that COVID wreaked on us. I'm sure you look forward to many a supervision of novice divers!

Two regional courses have been held recently. A Rescue Diver course was held in November, followed by an O2/EDFA course in February. Simon Charlton was a successful candidate on both of these courses, along with a number of candidates from Ilkeston and Kimberly Sub Aqua Club (IKSAC). Congratulations to all.  There is no doubt that Simon will be joining Phil and Neil as a Dive Leader before too long.

Several club members are working their way towards Club Diver and some may now consider switching to a new CMAS qualification called Two-Star Diver, which has just been made available to us. It is equivalent to current Club Diver grade and will gradually replace it in our training programme.
